About Me

Hello, my name is Kristy Beeks and I have been in love with creating since I was a young child.  I was born and raised in O'Neill, Nebraska and love small town life. Throughout my life, the enjoyment of art and creativity has brought me much joy.  My mom is talented in sewing, crocheting, and painting. She helped instill the creativity characteristics that are part of me today.  Along with my mom's creativity, my grandpa was a knife-maker and carver, and my grandma was a china painter.  There was no doubt that the talented, creative family in my life molded me to where I am today.  

 

The passion and skill for crafting followed me well into my adult life.  "Wooden Delights" was my first crafting business that was inspired from making my own wedding flowers, wooden Christmas ornaments and various other wooden pieces. For several years, I attended and displayed much of my work at numerous craft shows.  My husband, Dan was a big part of my crafting success during those years.

 

Life blessed us with two beautiful sons that allowed me the opportunity to focus on being an active mom.  I always enjoyed helping them throughout the school years with the various projects.  Now 21 and 19, I have decided to start fulfilling my passion of creativity with Burlap & Bows.

Burlap & Bows offers handmade gifts that are unique, heartfelt, and made with purpose.  We offer products from stenciled signs, painted ornaments, resin keychains, hats and accessories, and much more.  If a surface can be painted on I will paint on it. Burlap & Bows is a little rustic and a little chic and has something for everyone.  My promise is to deliver home decor that will create that amazing feeling that receiving a gift brings.  Burlap and Bows creates gifts that are one IN a million, not just one OF a million. I look forward to bringing the joy of handmade and customized decor to people from all walks of life.
